100 Days and Counting

June 23rd marked the 100 day milestone until ACA open enrollment on October 1, 2013. Around the state, many implementation wheels have been turning:
  • The grants for In Person Assisters (IPA) and Navigators were due earlier in the month and decisions on the IPA grants should be made in the next few weeks.
  • The Governor's Health Reform Implementation Council held a meeting and shared how the online Health Insurance Marketplace and ABE (Medicaid portal) will work together.
  • CountyCare -- the early expansion of Medicaid in Cook County -- is up and running with over 62,000 applications to date.
The next 100 days will be filled with even more health reform activities, so be sure to check back often to our Events page and like us on Facebook to keep up to date!
