May is for Medicaid

Health care advocates around the state took deep sighs of relief when the Illinois Legislature passed SB 26 - the bill to implement the Medicaid expansion. This expansion is a cornerstone of the Affordable Care Act in Illinois; thank your representatives who voted for it. Next stop - the Governor's desk!

Want to see who will be impacted by the expansion and the new Health Insurance Marketplace? Check out our latest release of Visualizing Health Reform. You can view by income level, age, gender, race/ethnicity, citizenship, veteran and disability status.

Our newsletter reaches just under 2,000 advocates, health care providers, policymakers, community organizations, government agencies, small businesses and individuals across the state. Forward to a friend and help us meet that milestone. With only four months until open enrollment, there's no better time than now to start spreading the word.
